Ode to the Okanagan in the summer pt.3…the Orchards that feed us… and those that teach how to see chocolate zucchini cake in disguise


If you are lucky enough to find yourself in the Okanagan area during the summer, it is almost considered a blasphemy to purchase your produce from anywhere but the fruit stands, the farmers market or directly at the orchards themselves… if you have the time, the desire or very importantly the permission of the orchard -take a stroll through the aisles of trees,  rows of berries and the vegetables to see (and smell) the passion, and maybe even taste firsthand from the earth (still with permission) the love that the Okanagan climate directly inserts into every lucky piece of produce with guidance, patience and a lot of love and passion  from the farmers…
